24-07-2017 - Magneti Marelli Checkstar inaugurates the Technical Training Centre in Corbetta

Today saw the inauguration of the Magneti Marelli After Market Technical Training Centre in Corbetta, Milan, a fully-equipped technical area which, beginning in September, will hold training courses for the Magneti Marelli Checkstar network of affiliated workshops and bodyshops, as well as for clients and commercial partners.

The Training Centre, made up of a classroom and a workshop fitted out with the most up-to-date technical solutions supplied by Magneti Marelli, will have a fundamental support role in the creation of technical training courses for the development of vehicle monitoring, the simulation of breakdowns and operational procedures; activities which further enhance the profile of the vehicles presented during the courses with practical case studies.

“The inauguration of this Training Centre is a great source of pride for Magneti Marelli After Market, as it represents the ideal connection between the heart of our company and the network of workshops which represent us throughout Italy”, claimed Stefano Sancassani, CEO of Magneti Marelli After Market Parts and Services.
“We want this structure to be as accessible as possible, and our aim is that it allows us to transfer the know-how and excellence of our technology to the world of vehicle repair workshops”.

In 2016, Magneti Marelli After Market provided 420 technical training sessions, with the participation of over 4,000 workshops from its network.

The workshop in the Magneti Marelli Checkstar Training Centre is equipped with the latest generation Corghi auto lift, and Panasonic monitors connected via Wi-Fi to Tablets; this technology offers increased operational flexibility and will allow for the organisation of technical demonstrations for new products.

The inauguration also involved a workshop session on the theme of technological innovation in the automotive sector and its impact on future repair activity, with a view to the workshop 4.0.
The strong drive towards computerisation will, in fact, transform the work-organisation logic in the workshop, and Magneti Marelli’s Flex Star solution, which brings together diagnosis, technical database and management software in a single operational environment, offers the important advantage of guiding the workshop during the entire repair process, from the arrival of the client to the handing over of the repaired vehicle, with increased efficiency in the identification and resolution of malfunctions.
